The prices are terrible but I could have done without the political commentary.

Agree with you. The song, cartoon, etc. very cute. It didn't need the political spot.
Happy trails........................

I guess I won't say anything about the political aspects of it. Gas here went to 3.29 this morning. Haven't seen what diesel is yet.

There was not much of a change in prices for our gas this week, other than the normal few cents when it is a holiday week. We did finally hit $3 for diesel but regular is still under $3.

I do not get how in a free enterprise society it is the presidents fault. If we were in a socialistic society it would be the Gov. It is OPEC and big business doing this. When we get to be socialists we will have much bigger problems.

For everyones enlightenment on the subject of high gas prices, Oil prices and OPEC it may be educational to to learn about the commodities market (oil/gas/is a commodity) and how the price of a barrel of oil is set, who set it, and how OPEC fits into the picture. Google How the commodities market works..have some fun find out who does what.

Looks like time to hunker down & keep a low profile,as Larry says.Just talking about ourselves here, don't presume to advise others. We've been poor, know how to live poor. Didn't do us any harm,& will get thru this rough time just fine. Might have to cut down/cut out some things, but the sun will rise & birds will sing.
We are so lucky to have a super insulated home that is way cheaper than a campground...way nicer too...JMO.

Fuel in Oregon did not change much over the weekend. Regular in southern Oregon is about $3.09 and diesel $3.19. While in Reno we paid $3.12 for diesel but saw it as high as $3.39.
