Campgrounds in Colorado Springs
We are thinking of taking the Monty to Colorado Springs area this summer. We would like input to the best campgrounds in the area.

Here is a new State Park you can look at. The price is up there. It sits at the base of Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD).
There are other private parks in the Colo. Spgs. area also. I have not stayed in any since I have lived in the area most of my life.

Mueller State Park west of Colorado Springs about 30 miles. It is just south of Divide. The most popular SP in Colorado. Demand is high, so reservations are a must.
I guess I'm not a big fan of a lot of the private parks around CoSpgs.
Pueblo State Park just west of Pueblo (about 35 miles south of CoSpgs is vwery nice, but has no full hookups. Elec only.
If you're interested in more info on either one as far as better spots, etc., let me know.

Not many nice parks in Colorado Springs. We stay at Garden of Gods RV park, when we come to Colorado Springs. It is OK. Gravel sites, lots of shade trees, close to everything, a little on the expensive side but all of them are, during the summer. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Summer is full so call ahead of time. 1-800-248-9451

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is wonderful. We are there right now.
A couple of pictures are on my website and I'm sure there will be many more later.

We are currently in Mountiandale RV about 15 miles So. of Colorado Springs, it is a PA park, by far the best we have been in. The deer come up and eat off the picknick tables. We were going to stay a couple of days decided to spend the week. Heading north toward Mt. Rushmore tomorrow. Check out their website, the pictures are "not" deceiving.
