Apollo Microwave POC

Anyone have the phone number or address for the manufacture of the Apollo Microwave 1/2 time oven? The glass on the inside of the door or the microwave has shattered. I hope we can just get a new door. Looks like the glass turntable hit the glass on the door during the last trip and it shattered. Got to love those rough interstate Hwys of our.

Thanks for the heads-up. We travel with the turntable in the oven, but I think I will now start putting a towel underneath it to minimize the movement.

We hit some pretty bad road bumps all the time and I mentally cringe in anticipation of what damage has occurred in the Monty. We have been somewhat lucky so far. The only thing that consistently happens is that our French doors in our rig are ajar at the end of every trip. But one of these days we won't be so lucky.

Wrap the turntable of the microwave in our Tana in a dishtowel, put right back in the microwave, with the towel wrapping, it fits nice and snugg and I can remember where I put it (ole gray matter failings! )

Sorry to hear you broke yours Fire5er.

Phone number for Apollo is 1-800-330-9707, in case you didn't find or get it. Good luck.

Place loaf of bread, bags of chips, or even paper towel roll, etc. in the microwave while traveling. Holds the turntable down. We've been doing this for over 15 years now and have never had a problem.
Happy trails.......................

Thanks all. Called the 1-800 # and spoke with Laura, and was pleased that a new door only cost $45. Will have it next weekend.

We apparently didn't properly protect our glass turntable in the Apollo 1/2 time oven while traveling and the plastic drive gear on the motor shaft cracked off. Have to replace the whole motor to fix it.

Believe it or not, I found a complete parts list, and online ordering for mine at Sears Parts. I needed a control board and found it here.

We do as Parrothead does, put other things in there for travel. These are things that have to be moved from their in-port location in preparation for travel. Apparently they hold the glass tray down.

Somewhere I read you're supposed to remove the glass tray, so its on my checklist to do so. I put it in a kitchen cupboard that's on the floor next to the Fridge where I store extra towels.
I suppose if I fulltimed or had a fully loaded RV, maybe I would brace/store in place like many suggest!
