Which keyless door lock do I need

My rig is in storage and was wondering which model keyless lock will work on my 2019 Montana?

If I remember correctly pretty much any of the RV front door keyless locks will work. App products, Bauer, or RV lock all fit the standard hole

You really need to look at your door to determine that answer. My 2020 is not like any trailer I've had in the past. A picture will make a world of difference in answering that question.
How far away is storage?
Marine and LEO? You really going to take somebody else's word for it?

Yeah my storage is not that far away, just thought the newer models would have a standard lock assembly. What does my prior military service or occupation have any bearing on asking for advice from an otherwise "Friendly" Montana site?

At ease, it was a light hearted attempt at levity. One of the major things I learned in my 25yr military career was 'trust but verify'. I guess the humor was lost in translation. Sorry you were offended.

Just checked just to be sure but yes standard lock and the previous suggestions I made will all fit. Stock the Montana’s come with a global link lock the key should have a number on it 300 something. That is your key code. Might also say G300.

To my point, just a heads up, 2020 (some 2019?) Montana models have this entry door handle/lock. RVLock keyless not compatable.

Got a good deal on an RVLock RH Compact, with a key fob for 169.99 through Amazon. Even better, it will be here by Saturday.

I have used the RV lock for several years and found it to work really well.

Does anyone know if you install the keyless door lock and the basement locks if the keyfob can be programmed to open them all at once? It looks like the keyfob has separate buttons for two locks.

Wow, kinda glad I don’t want a keyless door lock even if I was actually thinking of one, with all those answers my head is spinning and I don’t have a clue now!

The RVLocks out of Utah, have cylinder locks that can be used for the front battery compartments keyed to the same # as the door lock. Unfortunately the main cargo handles were incompatible with Montana's latching design. I tried to synchronize 3 of my 4 keys but still have 3 keys because of the LCI jack panel and cargo handles. I have two main doors on my unit that were keyed differently. I probably could have a locksmith rekey the CH751 on the Jack panel, but is it worth it since it is a very flimsy setup.

i have the rv lock but im tired of locking myself out of the trailer. I have the 2 lock one for dead bolt which is motorized and the lock for the handle. if you bump the handle lock and close the door you are locked out. what good is keyless entry if you have to carry a key. uggg. after locking myself out i used a screwdriver and was shocked at how little pressure was needed to break open the lock.

I just went to Loews and bought a standard residenticial key pad. Works as it should ,was cheaper and does not have all the bad reviews the RV one has. Has a nice lever handle for the arthritis to. There is a couple of styles that come with a key to.

Interesting... how does that work on the inside with the screen door? Seems it might wreck the screen door lock panel if you closed it all up without sliding the panel open first?

I'd also be concerned about something catching on that type of handle...

Has it worked out well for you?

Thanks,
Brad

Works like it should. We bought the one that comes with keys including the combo pad and put one in a magnetic hide-a-key and stick it on the frame in case the combo pad fails at some point.
I just notched the screen door plastic panel to accommodate the lock handle that panel is just another thing to fix after it falls off or fails you can just take the thing off altogether , lever good, pull handle bad with arthritis IMHO

Not sure what you think is going to catch on it?

Also makes for grab handle when ascending stairs to open. Wife hangs the trucks keys on the inside handle so she dosen`t have to look for them when I can`t find them. Many pluses for us anyway.

So nice not having to carry around keys everywhere. I keep a hide-a-key on the rig just in case of a failure.

I keep a hide-a-key on the rig just in case of failure (to bring the key) and saved the cost to upgrade to an electronic lock ;-)
