Tpms and incommand system

has anyone used the tpms that works with incommand? Just purchased tst-507 and saw that the incommand system has a module for this. I am going to return the tst507 system based on feedback.

Out of curiousity what feedback prompted you to return the tst 507? I've used it for years and it is a quality system and one of the most popular, if not the most. Just curious.

Thanks for asking about this. We are picking up a new 3120 this month with legacy eddition and incommand is on the camper. The tmps from incommand is about 130 less. I know that the tst system is regarded very high. I am looking for feedback on the incommand unit. It would be 1 piece less technology in truck when traveling as the Incommand system is an app thats on iPhone.

Just a personal opinion from someone who didn't want the in-command to start with so take it for what it's worth, but I wouldn't want something as important as my tire monitors tied to that system. I'd stick with the TST.

I'm with Dick, Dealer tried to talk us into such a setup, but we were custom ordering so we declined and very glad we did with all the post about issues. I can easily fix a switch, not so much with these new fangled electronic controlled everything.

Same here. In Command seemed like "the thing" but after it came out then reading of all the issues as we began looking at a new trailer In Command was a no go for us. Along with all the other system failures I've read about I just don't want something like that controlling, or losing, my tpms when traveling.

I had to take a look see at the new In Command TPMS... yes it costs less but what’s its track record? Having used my current TST 507 for 7 years now it has worked flawlessly. I do like the latest color monitor for the new TST507 and could upgrade just the monitor to the new style for easier viewing...

The cap sensors for the Incommand TPMS are a close resemblance to those on my 507...

I’ve used TST customer support once inquiring about new seals and they promptly shipped me a set of seals on their dime...

That’s customer support and a product with many years of use out in the field

I have the In-command TPMS. It does not need an In-Command system to work. It works with an App on your phone. I did need to put the repeater in on my rig to have the transmitters on the valve stems stay 100 percent connected.

I find it simple, It works on my phone, and i check it every so often like I did my old TST system. You set alarm parameters to sound an alarm if the temp gets too high or pressure gets to low or too high.

I picked mine up off of amazon for 250.

I purchased the TST507 last year on sale for $260. Made in the USA

It saved me all kinds of grief on my return from FLA last March. Noticed the pressure dropping on the left rear and was able to change it before the alarm even went off. Will not travel without it.

The important thing is to have one. Let us know how you like the in-command.

I am all about In-Command, I like it, but it also hasn't given me any issues yet, knock on wood. I would not trust the most important item in towing to something that is not dedicated. I have the TST507, have had two others in the past and this is the best. Yes it is a little more expensive, especially 10 sensors but for me and my comfort it was worth it.

I am close to buying a tire monitor system. What are the pros and cons of flow-thru vs. non-flow thru? Does it make sense to have flow thru on the truck? I don’t know if there are challenges with getting one or the other on the rear wheel stems. Are all DRW trucks about the same for fitting sensors?

I have the flow through sensors and love them. I never used the cap style but think the flow through would be easier. If you don’t have a pressure gage handy you can add pressure using the monitor easier. Not sure if there is a cost difference, but either way the peace of mind is priceless!!

We just got back from a 2300 mile trip using the TST507 for the first time. What a great tool. It'll hold a charge for at least 48 hours while on continuously. It might go longer, but we only left it in the truck on over night a couple of times. The batter indicator showed full charge still.


The big consideration with flow thru is you need to have metal stems. The flow thru sensors are heavier and will hit the rims.


I haven't had our dually all that long, but I find it a real pita to get caps on and off the inside wheels.

I too am looking at buying a tmps and have been looking at the TIREMINDER TM77 and i10. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. I haven’t seen anything on the In Command or the TST 507. Will be looking at them as well.
