Of course you are correct that one must reduce the load by truck weight and contents that ride on the rear axle. That all must be subtracted to find a net margin. I have not run bubba across the scales yet. Fully loaded with trailer hooked on my 2500HD I had 7380 pounds on the rear axle. Thats why I traded. I figure with Bubba's extra rear wheels and longer bed I will have maybe 500 pounds more on that axle and will still be under 8200 pound GAWR and well under the Tire limit of 9880. That remains to be seen.
