Black water tank flush valve
We have a 2007 model 2955 and in the area where the outside shower is located is a water hose adapter that obviously should allow us to attach a regular water hose and clean the black tank yet I am unable to get water to pass thru. Seems to be a stuck valve or something because no water is entering the black tank and the hose is very tight due to the high pressure. Any words of wisdom or advise will certainly be appreciated. Thanks

You have a back flow preventer in there that is notorious for failure. In some rigs it's under the bathroom sink (as ours was) in others it's behind the shower with an access panel in a closet of bedroom somewhere. There's another thread running today with the same issue. Very common. By the way, some valves are clear and others are black.

Just a point of clarity on DQDick's post the valve "under the bathroom" is under the lavatory sink inside the vanity. If it is behind the shower not all have an access panel. Some of them you have to cut the paneling yourself. Search the archieves for a post by sreigel. He has an old post that has pictures of the cut-a-way. Jim

We are new owners of a 3582 and after reading the various notes on the back flow preventor I looked under the sink in the commode area. There is something there but since I have never seen one before I want to be sure. Does anyone have a picture of one ?

Here is a link to Steve's posting on the back flow check valve. Both this link and the one Jimcol posted have pictures of the valve.

I have a 2006 3000RK and I suspect I have the same problem. I looked under the bathroom sink and could not find the valve. There is an acess hole covered in the coat closet by the entry door but ther is nothing behind it. Can anyone help me with where the back flow valve is on my model. Thanks

If you have an access panel then I bet the valve is back there. Close the sliding door, get a mirror and a flashlight, and look back next to the exterior wall. They never put the valve where the access hole is.

If the check valve is in the pocket door (sliding) access will be by removing the facets in the shower. We have a 3150RL and I had the dealer replace our check valve (it was in the pocket door space behind the shower), because we have an extended warranty, so I figured I'll let them pay for the replacement. The total cost was $126.00. The way I knew our check valve was shot was because water was leaking from under the trailer when I tried to flush the black tank, plus we had some water on the floor inside the trailer.
All the best in resolving the problem.

I cut an access hole in the entry coat closet so I could reach right in and remove the valve. The valve is blocked and does not allow flow from either direction. Iwill pick up a replacement valve and access cover tomorrow. Thanks for everybodys help.

I have a 2011 3150 the flush out black tank is located between the refer and the shower stall open the the door the hides between the two and look in the back that is where my valve is located. What a dumb place to put it. It is very difficult to repair and mine is already acting up.

Since our 5ver is a month old and I have used the black tank flush two times I thought I'd search for the valve in our 326 Mountaineer. First place I looked was under the bathroom sink and there it is, located with easy and quick access. Bad to hear there have been issues, yet good to know IM not going to be cutting out panels with a sabre saw should I find my bathroom flooded after a tank flush.
