Had lunch with SPECIAL people today

We are in Independence, Mo at Steve and Vicki's home park. Steve and Vicki are not here for a couple more weeks yet and we may be dumb but not stupid.[D] We will be long gone by then. I spent a week here in January one year and will never do that again. It is too much like Minnesota.

For those of you that worried as much about Myrna as I did: She looks fantastic and is thrilled to be able to travel again. Sponge Bob was his same jovial self.

Yes indeed we had lunch with special people. We enjoyed the catfish dinner at the ProBass store in Independence. It was great to catch up and to share the association with our other friends, the Johnstons. We talk about MOC all the time when we are with them and to show them how wonderful the MOC members are was the greatest.
Charlie and Nila.. thanks for your comments. We look forward to seeing you guys again in the future. You never know where we may show up.

I'm sorry we missed you. We'll arrive in Independence on 11/1 and leave 12/1. January is, indeed, cold and wintry. November, on the other hand, **usually** is pretty nice. Cool, but nice. I used to continue taking the boat out for fishing right up until Thanksgiving. Occasionally winter comes a bit earlier but normally it's not a bad month, weather wise. But, then, I recall one winter where I put the boat on a lake for some crappie fishing on January 4th and found myself among about 150 other boats in the same area. The high that day was to be 42, which is downright balmy after a week or two of real winter. However, the high never actually got above 34 that day so it was a bit nippy at speed. The fishing was good, though.

I'm glad to hear Myrna is doing so well. Anyone in the Independence area in November be sure to stop by. We'll be in site 12 at Campus RV Park.
