Crazy-Seal Roof
Crazy-Seal
Has anyone used the Crazy-Seal roof (Do It Yourself) product? I have been looking for a product like RVarmor and Flexarmor, for someone like me that likes DIY projects. If anyone has used this please give me your opinion of the product. If anyone is curious about this, the link is below.

How nice would it be to have a proven maintenance-free roof? Don't get me wrong I would still inspect semi-annually, just for peace of mind, but not having to worry about sealant would be nice. Seeing that they are saying it all dries as one piece.
The thing that I do not understand and please tell me if I am looking at this wrong, both the crazy seal and henry are silicone-based. From what I know of EPDM roofs silicone is a no go, but yet you can apply straight over the roof? Someone, please help me understand this.

Henrys looks interesting as it seems about 1/3 the price of Crazy Seal, and a fraction of having someone like Flexarmor do it.
I'm really curious to see how it works. Thanks in advance!

I just crazy sealed my roof about a month ago.
I did a short write up here but there is a longer one on the ford truck forum as more people were interested and asked questions.

Crazy seal has a cleaning process you have to do. I had a scrap of epdm laying around from a old camper roof replacement that I put crazy seal on then tried to pull, peel and on anyway get the two to separate. I failed to get them apart even with a sander. So I’d say crazy seal is a solid product.

Was it dirty when you applied it?

A while cleaning picture so yeah it had some dirt on the Epdm and the a photo while I was cutting in around the vents.
But if you’re asking specifically about the scrap test piece no I cleaned it with the product CrazySeal says to clean it with before applying it. My main concern was that the CrazySeal would have poor adhesion and could be peaked off like a skin. I was very impressed with the test and am even more impressed with the roof as a whole. A year later it still looks new.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I meant the scrap piece. It would be interesting to know how good it adheres to a fairly dirty piece. If I do this project, I still plan to do it all properly but for Academia it would be interesting.

It sticks to dirty as well just not as well. For example some of my existing dicor lap sealant was not perfectly clean and there were no issues with adhesion.plus the white picks up the dirt and looks grey or off white.
