tire damage fix was easy
When the rear curbside mission tire blew it damaged the 12' piece of metal skirting & the Mor ryde plastic fairing. I ordered the parts from a local dealer & was going to have a RV repair guy do the work but looked at it myself & took the project on. All I had to do was peel off the vinyl strip exposing the screws, take them out, pop out 6 staples, 4 screws to the rear of the panel 2 in front. Then I pulled the panel out & cleaned off the old silicone from the long strip of vinyl from the Monty & the fron & rear of where it slips in. Next was to trace the old curve onto the new panel using the old one a template & cut it out with tin snips. Slide the new panel into the front & back & nailed six 1/2" nails into place where the staples were, then put all the screws (thy are 4" on center) back thru the metal track. Put the new plastic fairing on.The front screw is on the frame so it aligns itself. Pop the vinyl moulding back on the track, caulk the font & rear & down the top of 12' of vinyl & I was done. Prety darn easy fix. It took probably 2 hours total. I had 3 estimates on the repair & they were all 3 1/2 - 4 hours labor at $90/hour so you know how much I saved.
