Thanks for the tip. I was still using S&T 2007. Great price and love the program. I have used Streets and Trip for over a decade and wouldn't be without it.

Thanks Again

Woohoo! My old version wouldn't run on Win 7 64 bit. I like Streets & Trips much more than map-quest for looking up locations and printing maps. Thanks for the link!

Thanks, Doberman. I was wanting to update my 2010 version and have it downloading right now. I don't use it for my final trip planning for my Garmin but I use it for a myriad other things. Thanks again for posting the info and link.

FYI....you can "EXPORT" the Streets and Trips route directly to a Garmin device or to Mapsource as a GPX file. Saves having to do both.

I did that a few times but found there is just enough difference in the maps that the "points" transferred showed as right on a highway on S&T but were slightly off the road on Garmin's maps. I learned how to use MapSource, that comes free with the Garmin and that matches the maps perfectly since when I do a Garmin map update it also updates mapsource on my computer.

I keep S&T around because it's a lot more user friendly and quick and easy to locate a place or to do a quick figuring of distance, etc. In my pre-Garmin days I used to use S&T on a laptop with gps. Before that it was DeLorme's Street Atlas.

I got the update to S&T downloaded and really appreciate the headsup about the sale. I was thinking recently mine was 3 years old and I know of some changes since then so should update. Thanks again.
