Difficult outside shower connection
Does anyone else have a very difficult time connecting the coiled blue hose to the outside connection? I have to push, wiggle, and occasionally talk very sternly to the hose while pushing on the collar and still have a difficult time getting it connected. I can finally get it, but it is never easy. Any ideas?

Bill,
I had that problem and the solution was to lubricate the quick-connect a little. I used some silicone spray. WD-40 might work better.

Me too - lubed mine with dish soap. Not sure how long it'll last. Oil on/in the water system didn't strike me as a good idea. Not that I'm going to drink from that, but all the same....

Of course, dish soap'll give you the runs...
I just continue to talk sternly to it on those occassions that it wants to talk back.

Try just a dab of medical grade lubricant ...

I wonder if a bath of CLR would help, I have noticed on ours (it is very difficult to connect also) that there appears to be mineral (chalky) deposits that have built up. Don't take our ultimate solution to heart though, I got tired of messing with it and decided to just trade it in!!! (Kidding!!)

I'm not a fan of those coiled hoses, especially if they are opaque. Those allow algae to build up inside due to the sunlight.

The fitting on the hose, the outlet, or both?

Both. The female to male adaptor for the outlet and then a hose adaptor for the hose. Available at Ace Hardware.

I tried lubing it today. Only thing I had with me was PTFE dry lube. It was somewhat easier after that. Not easy, but easier. Will try it a few times now and see if it begins to loosen up with use.

Used vaseline works great. You can take the connector apart somewhat and put some vaseline on the spring, buy removing the holding ring clip. Use q tip to put a small amount on the o ring in side.

I too just leave it connected! If I take it off I'll try the suggestions on lube.

I just added a quick-connect to the curly hose which allows any of my attachments to be easily connected or disconnected.
