Excellent Emergency Service at Lazy Days

We went to Florida last week with friends who have a 11 month old Montana 2955. When they where putting out the slides it was noticed black smoke pouring out of the front basement in the battery compartment. The wiring harness was on fire. After quick thinking, unhooking it from electric and battery. The fire stopped. 900 miles from home unsure what to do. No electric, no light on the back of the RV worked, slides out. (What a job to get the slides in by hand) What could have been a disaster thanks to Lazy Days was just a slight inconvience. No appointment, towed into Lazy Days by AAA who jumped right on it the day it arrived. Within 2 days it was ready to go, fixed with assurance that it was safe. Our friends felt very secure due to the excellant service they recieived. We visted our friends at Lazy Days who where staying in the RV in the bay and could not believe the customer service and set up that they had there! A plus for triple A and Lazy Days in our book!

Hummm.....Another meltdown in the same area as we had ours two years ago. There have been others. I hope they have reported this..forcefully...to Montana. Good news about the excellent service from lazy days. We got the same excellent service @ 2000 miles away from home in Quartzsite after a call to Montana.. Keep a eye on things as we had a series of 12V failures in the 3 or 4 months that followed our fire. Montana needs to look into this area and do some reto fitting.
