We can cook now

I just have to brag on Eastside Motors & RV in Gillette, WY. We arrived at their repair facility at about 9:00 AM for them to handle the warranty exchange of our Dometic microwave/convection oven. By 10:00 AM, it was all installed and we were on our way.

An interesting aside for those who believe as I do, I asked the tech if he believed in prayer. His answer was, "I sure do." So I prayed for his good success in installing without complications. I helped him do the task since I watched the other dealership techs when they did their install (they had difficulty). He had not done this particular install before. It went off without a hitch and we had some great conversation about spiritual things in the process.

It has been a good day even if I did scratch my awning mechanism on a tree at Crazy Woman RV Park in Gillette. Nothing serious and it will probably polish out.

Well, I am cooking on a hot plate tonight as our Apollo is still dead. We really haven't even had the time to look at it. See the sights or take out the Apollo??? Mt. Rushmore was better looking than the black piece of junk..... second black piece of junk.

Glad you are back in business. I second the question... what's for dinner.

Stiles,

Is the Dometic a rebrand of the Apollo?

I am on Dianna's computer.

I do not know with any certainty either way. The label with the model and serial numbers has Dometic's name and "Made in Korea" on it. There is no mention of Apollo in the Owner's Guide or Installation Guide, so I find no evidence of rebranding.

However, it may be used as a microwave or a convection oven or both in combination. In their documentation, the term "half time" is not used with regard to the combined function. It says the cooking time is shortened when using microwave power and convection heat in combination.
