Air Mattress Leak

We are the proud new owners of a 3585SA 10th Anniversary Edition. It is our first unit of any kind. We absolutely love it. We have the air mattress, and in our second trip out with the unit, the air mattress would not hold air. It worked fine the first trip. It appears that the valve on the end of the bed will not seal. When you turn the cap once full, you can actually hear the pressure relase. Has anyone else experienced this?

We (DW) had a leak on our first trip. She re-inflated 4 times during the night (I was snoring in the bed) and ended up sleeping on the floor. When she told me about it, I tightened the cap and it sealed fine. We never use the cap at the foot of the bed now for inflating or deflating, only the built in pump.

Had trouble with ours, could never find the leak! Montana replace it with another one. FYI--the pump which inflates the unit heats the air some, then through the night the air cools and the bed needs more inflation. Try inflating the bed in a cool unit, letting it sit for awhile, then adding more air as needed.

We've added a mattress topper to the underside of the mattress--in the zippered bag. It prevents the frame from digging into your hips if the bed looses enough air to let you sag. It works great.

I have an '09 2955 and mine did the same thing on our maiden voyage (5 weeks).
We tested, checked and double checked everything, including practically memorizing the instructions but it would not hold pressure. Grandkids were on the bed frame and ended up on the sofa and floor.
Our dealer checked it out when we returned and agreed that it just wouldn't hold air.
Montana sent a replacement mattress.

We used our air mattress on the hide a bed for the first time last weekend. 1st night it lost a little air and alot the second night. Filled with the electric pump. Didnt think to check the valve on the end. Very comfortable though.
