US 82

We are heading out to Pierre, SD and are now in Mississippi. We plan to go West on US 82 thru southern Arkansas and northern Texas to Vernon. I have some concerns about the recent flooding Arkansas. Has anyone out there traveled on 82, or know where I can get the info.

You might try this URL: http://www.weather.gov/alerts/ar.html for Arkansas advisories.

Hi Dee,

We left the Jacksonville, FL area on April 1st for the West Coast. We were on US 82 for 3 days. We encountered some heavy winds one night at the Hadley rest stop, heavy rain and hail earlier that same afternoon at Henrietta (had to pull over 3 times), and rain when we crossed the Mississippi, no part of US 82 was impassable.
