Vacuum beater and brush bar attachment
Sue picked up the attachment yesterday, it was $49.00 or so.
We had Mar Beck Appliance parts Co. order it in, I don't know if that is just a local Co. or national. They have a web site.
It's vacuum powered, we haven't used it yet, if it doesn't work well, we have the OK to return it. If you don't hear from me on it, we will be happy with it's performance.
BLT's anyone?

No, we love our 'Maters. Having a hard time keeping the ground hogs from them. One big plant was drug down from them climbing on it. I have trapped a Momma, and 5 babies, put them in the Ozz' witness relocation program. A park down the road. I have Two new ground hogs and a Raccoon we are dealing with now.
My medium size Hav-A-Heart trap is too small for the Raccoon, he just eats the Apples and 'Nanners and the door falls on his back. Got to get a bigger trap for him.

Ozz you have to report back that you like the beater bar. You know all of us old folks have CRS and will forget this post. Where did they order it from?

You know Sue, they never reveal those sources, then we would save 20% and order around them.
It doesn't even have a brand name on it, so I don't know where they got it.

Funny, it was the tomatoes that caught my eye too, nothing like fresh tomatoes, that's the only thing I plant still every year. At 6300' the growing season is a little short but I'm finally starting to get a few. YUM!
Oh yeah, the beater, let us know how it works, my wife might like that attachment too. For the record it's our anniversary today, 29 years, and me being only 27, how does that work???

www.marbeck.com
haven't yet searched the site for the beater bar but we will also want one.
Ozz, would you post or email me any part numbers or other identifying info when you get your invoice?
Thanks.
mar beck has a store here in Independence, also. I believe they are just metro kc but do mail order also.
I would appreciate hearing even if you DO like it and it does a good job before I buy. Thanks.

With 104 degree temperatures, I can't get Sue out of her quilting room and out into the Monte. She is happy that Jimmie Johnson won the Indy race, but not happy enough to go outside.
The attachment was exactly $49.99, just a ticket from the adding machine, the logo on it is a M over an H, (Or, an H over a W) other than that, it has a number stamped on it, 023016AA9.
I looked at the web site until I got a headache, did not see anything close. I would assume it is a universal attachment, rather than a branded accessory.

We take the beater bar and hose from our central vac with us. Works great except the hose is long enough to do the 2 rigs next to you also.

Sue and I tried the vacuum head, it works SUPER! You will not be disappointed. I called Mar Beck, took them some time to look it up, here's the information:
Large wind driven turbo tool, part # FA-5710 $49.99 get on their web site: http://www.marbeck.com/
get the 800 number and you can order it. They warehouse it in Kansas City.

Thanks, Ozz ... Steve is taking a look at it right now. Since he's the primary vacuum operator in this family, he's always looking for the best and easiest way to do the job
[By the by ... I obviously missed something, but what's the story on the tomatoes?]

Vicki,
Oh, the picture I took of the attachment just happened to be sitting next to some tomatoes we brought in from the garden. We are fighting the Raccoons and Ground Hogs for possession daily. I reset the trap 3 or 4 times a day, they trip it somehow. I will adjust the trigger, see if that helps.

Ozz,
I think I read way back in another thread that you did your vacuum aftermarket. I also have shyed away from the central vac because I have 3 pets in the camper and didn't know if it had enough power that I was accustomed to. We have to run the vacuum daily in our home.
What brand did you get and could you give me a little more info on it; or did I miss a previous thread?
Thanks,
tara

Hi Tara,
We have the central vacuum, it really works great. We bought some nice area rugs to cover up the poorly stretched light colored carpet. The rugs are dark, so they show all kinds of 'stuff' on them, We bought a vacuum beater bar, brush attachment. It works super! I think you would be happy with it.
Take care, Tara.

Thanks, Ozz, for the part number information. I didn't mean for you to go to that much trouble but I appreciate it. I called the Independence Mar Beck and ordered it. Should be here Wednesday. We won't even have the vac for more than two weeks so we'll be good to go right away.

Ozz,
Is the head powerful enough to get long dog hair up along with the dirt.
We have 3 long haired dogs who always shed.
Thank you,

If you have a canister vacuum with a power head at home, or pick up one at a goodwill store you can get an adapter plug & cord made up at any vacuum repair shop all you have to do is measure the vacuum hose stretched then have them make the cord the same length, or if you want you can get an extension cord cut of the end and add the adapter yourself.
Like Steve I have the duty with the vacuum also and the central vacuum in our unit has more suction power than the one in our stick house, so with the power head we can have a very good clean up at any time, and if you already have the power head it’s a very cheap way to go.

Laura,
The vacuum is very good, and with the new head, I think you would be pleased at it's performance. It would certainly be an improvement over the stock system.
Vernon, this head does not require any electricity, it is vacuum powered, it does work great.

Those of you with the central vac, do you empty the bag after every use (full carpet vacuuming)? Or every other time? How often to clean the filter? Thanks.
