up date on our new recliner...

The update on our beautiful new recliner... Too big and too much trouble to move for the slides. We moved it into the house. We had an extra smaller recliner in the stick house, we put in Monty. Are ordering a cover for it and will have an almost new recliner in Monty. This one is a lazy boy and lighter in weight. It is also more comfortable than the original recliner.
It has a few good years left. The orginal is in the TV room in basement.
New cover will be sage color.

We bought new "his" and "hers" Lazyboys for the house - they are HUGE!!. I put my old one in the TT, but it's too big also - I heard a crunch when I closed the slide. I think I'll just retire it to my workshop and put the old one back in. It's so low and I'm so high (and heavy) that it's become a real chore to get back out of it. The salesperson at LB showed us what most folks buy for their RVs, so maybe we'll just save our pennies awhile for a new one.

What a shame they didnt fit. but you got new ones for the house now. I think the manufactures of RV furnature do that on purpose so you will have to buy there sized down inventory.

Rv furniture is smaller and lighter than the stuff we have in our homes. Weight and space are a factor in Rv's.Our preception that Rv furniture is "cheaply made" (and it is as compaired to home furniture) is because of the weight and space limitations...BUT..You CAN buy high quality Rv furniture..for a price...

I finally tried to put in our slide (see previous post) and have the same problem, so mine is going into the workshop !! I think I'll go buy a new smaller something though because what I took out was really pretty bad !!

CW has some " better stuff" but it is in the 500/600.00 price range. You are pretty much have to stay with the "camper sized" furniture...

We bought one of CW's "better stuff" for our previous 5er. Paid a little over $500 for it. We kept it when we traded in as it was almost brand new. It is now in our family room in the stick house. There is a small split in the seat that is getting larger and it is only about 2 years old. Plus it is not nearly as comfortable as the ones in the Monty.
Happy trails.....................
