RV Quickie Flush

Just ordered one the RV Quickie Flush things and wondering if anyone has installed on yet. Any hints? I haven't pulled the bottom cover off my rv and don't really know what to expect. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is a Quickie Flush Thingie? A lot of work if your rig is like ours. The gas line will have to be lowered or on the other side the sewer line supports will have to be removed. Still limiting axes to the underside. It would be easer if we had two elbows on each arm. Treecounter

Is this quickie fluss for the black water tank, galley, gray water or all the above?

The RV Quickie Flush is mgf by Camco and is for flushing the black or gray water tanks. It is a permanently mounted spray head in the tank with a water hose connection attached to the frame. It allows you to fill and flush your holding tank without having to run a water hose inside the unit.

My concern is the removal of the underbelly for access to the black water tank.

Our 3575 came with a quickie flush mounted on the side of the 5ver. I use it every time I empty tanks.

Might be wrong....but I think all Montanas are equipped with a black tank flush.

Figures, I have the Mountaineer and it doesn't have one -- but it will.

We had the same model TT as you then the 335 - neither had a built in flush. I took one look at the underbelly and said "forget it" - used the King Flush ever since with excellent results - just to be sure a couple of times we let a really strong solution of Calgon swish around in the tank for a while.

Good luck - now moving to a 3400RL - rather expensive way to get a built in flush!

I've had older units with out them and never again! I'm spoiled now.

I tried the clear plastic housing with the water hose but the angle of the plumbing to the tank didn't get a good flush on this unit.

The quickie flush was delivered yesterday so I will tear into it tomorrow. The actual installation appears straight forward. I will post results for those interested.

Diana I noticed the coach change, I am envious but will get my tank flusher the hard way. Congrats on the new coach anyway.

The black flush was an extra cost option when we ordered our current Montana in mid-2002. We got it and use it though. I don't know if it's still an option or maybe now is standard?

Come on Jack & Rose - it's only money - just postpone retirement for a while and install the quickie flush with a new rig - just means upgrading the truck as well maybe?

Joking apart I will be interested to hear how you made out. We are now going through the "how the heck do we unhitch this thing?" stage with the new rig. By next rally we'll have it down pat!

I also installed a flush system on our old TT which didn't come with one. The black water tank was longer than it was wide and the outlet was not at the end in the center, but on the side of the tank. I put in 2 sprayers: one at the far end of the tank to wash down to the drain end, and one across from the drain to force the waste out the exit. I then brought both water lines to the side of the trailer and connected them to a brass Y with a valve for each water line. I can use one or the other or both valves at the same time to clean the tank. Works great in conjunction with the clear plastic hydroflush connector so you can see what's coming out. Just take a few minutes for the waste water to run clear.

DiananColin, if you don't figure it out, I might be willing to swap even-up my manual conventional slider hitch for your superglide.

That's a great idea, I wish I had read it before I took the underbelly off my Mountaineer. The single head seems to work just fine for now. Thanks for the replies.
