Some more vandelism on my Monty
I just dont believe it, some body threw a rock, or hit my door window with a hammer, the glass was broken along with the screen just like a rock passed through both, I didn't find a rock inside and trust me I looked all over so thats why I think a hammer was the culperate with a A hole holding it. which when hit it actavated the alarm system so the door was not unlocked and nothing was taken it was about 630 AM when this happened and the lot was not even open yet. all is fixed now a new window and frame and a rescreen the top of the door. all less than 100.00 very cheap for a brake in.

Yeah, they take from those who work and earn something. I'm really worried (especially since our trailer was stolen) about theft with the new trailer. The outside entertainment center is a forced option for the 3750FL, so we will have THREE TVs in the unit! If someone knows the outside TV is where it is, it would be very easy to steal that one, and the 40" is tempting I'm sure to a lot of thieves too.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Got to feel violated when someone does you like that.

Bummer. One thing I like about our 3665RE is that when the slides are closed, unless you are smart enough to turn on the battery, and then open the slides, all you can get to is the bathroom. Bit of a downside when we pull into a reststop,.

We can keep our Montana at home which is the prime reason we do not downsize our S&B.

I have often wondered if there would be any merit in having one of those motion detecting cameras located nearby in an inconspicuous spot? The kind that they sell for monitoring hunting areas or the like. Gotta fight back some how and that would seem like a cheap way to do it and hopefully catch someone red-handed. We had our previous rig basement broken into and immediately moved the rig to a mini-storage with video monitoring.

Don, what kind of alarm system do you have in it?
Ours is in covered storage in a gated facility with video monitoring. And the facility has been broken in to twice in the last 3 years. First time they got in my storage bays and got a few things. Last time they skipped me but broke into about 15 other units taking a lot of items including TVs and electronics. Apparently the video monitoring had no effect as no one is on site at night. They cut multiple holes in the back fence. And no one caught yet as far as I know.

It works very well for me I wish it had paging instructions, it has that capability but I dont have the know how.
there is some bad news the company went belly up in the USA buy it is still sold in Australia, it also has a new name I believe. when mine dies it will see the round file because nobody can repair it.
most of the information is on there flier.
a cop told me it dont mater what you have in a alarm system, just so long as it makes a lot of noise inside and out. burglers dont like noise you know.

Don,
Sorry to hear of the additional breakin or attempted breakin. But you now know your security stuff works! That's a good thing. I like the spy camera idea. That should help catch them. Good luck and keep us informed. Dennis

We have a game camera as others have suggested and we use it pointed to our driveway and house when we travel at the S & B. That way we know who has come up the driveway and to the house. So far so good... We improved it last year to a infra ray that now does not flash. Not sure what the pic will do in real trouble but if they where moving things out we should get a decent pic of the activity at least. You can only hope.

Don
We store in Irvine for $99.00 a month. I have been using this place for over 8 years with no problems.
It might be worth it for you to drive the extra half hour. It's very clean and gated, some one lives on the grounds.
