TV Moving Around

Does anyone have any good ideas for securing a TV?
Upstairs, in my bedroom of my 3650 RK, I have a 19 inch TV in the top cabinent, which obviously slides around when we move the unit. I have tried some fastener, that stick both to the TV and the cabinent, but the adhesive bases just come lose, didnt work to well, so I returned them. My cabinent is gettin a little damage from the TV moving around, so if anyone has any clever ideas for securing the TV, please help me out.
Thanks

Have you tried to velcro it in place? Our 3670 has black velcro straps the hold the TV in place. Hope this might be your answer.

We have a 14" tv in or 05 3670 bedroom cabinet, I put a pad of the rubber material my wife uses in the cabinet to keep the dishes from moving under the tv. We've pulled over 2000 mi and it hasn't moved more than an inch.

Unlike my Grandson who insists I only need 2 items in the toolbox Velcro is the answer to many, many problems - sure works on our TVs and VCR and Satellite controller and . . . . . you get the picture.

2 items for the toolbox - if it moves and it shouldn't - Duct Tape; if it doesn't move and it should - WD40!

The cabinet rubber bottom covers that has been mentioned and the Velcro fasteners may be the way to go. we have a tv in the rear bedroom of a 3655fl and had to do the same thing to stop it from moving. To be sure it doesn't come loose, my wife places her extra blankets and pillows against it. So far, and over bouncing roads, it hasn't come out of the cabinet.

Thanks for the tips. It has never come out of the cabinent or opened the doors, thank god, but it worries me sliding around, I like the rubber pad idea, and I was thinking about the velcro, but I wanted to see if others have tried it first, to see if it works. Unfortuniatly, there is not really any extra room in there fir me to stuff blankets or pillows around the TV.
Thanks for the tips. FYI, those TV straps you can buy for like $30, they suck and dont work!!

We had those straps in our other unit and they worked awesome! You just have to make sure you clean the area you are sticking the pad to and where you are sticking it. They don't stick that great to some things but a counter top they do awesome. The straps in our 5er work wonderful, haven't had problems with them at all. I got mine online from an earthquake store.... http://www.safetystore.com/eqmain.asp

Our bed room TV also moved around (on the bed) a couple of times) it has an antenna holder on the top for rabbit ears. We put a plastic wire holder in th back wall and ran zip ties between them. That stopped the TV from falling out. Then ran screws through the lip on the front of the set into the cabinet. Very secure. Treecounter

We screwed a large eye screw the back, bottom, near center of the cabinet opening. Then attached a couple feet of bungee cord to the bottom, center, back of the TV. Run the cord through the eye screw and
pull it tight as you push the TV into the enclosure. The loose end of the bunge is pulled tight and attached to a wire loop at the top of the TV cabinet if there is room or if not fasten to a hook intalled in the cabinet enclosure off to one side or the other. Takes a little trial and error. But works great.

If you screw down the holders you took back they will work just fine. In California, we have a lot of "earthquake proofing" materials and information available. Most can be applied to RV travel. What brand TV do you have? We would like a larger unit in this cabinet but have not found a brand that will fit.

I have a 19" Sylvina, I got it at Sears for 99 bucks, it is not stero, but a nice TV. You have to put it in the cabinet sideways, but once it is in there, there is plenty of roon to trun it around, actually fits great in there.

Thanks Ed. We are off to Sears to find one. Turning it is a good idea - I'm usually more on the ball about those things but this has been a mind boggling job to change 5th wheels. There are so many new places to put things.

Screw it from the bottom of the cabinet into the bottom of the tv with locking washers.

I hear that, you never know how mush stuff you accumulate in there until have have to move it all out and then back in again.
The 3400L, that was one we liked also, it was up between that one, and the 3650 RK, which is what we have, I wanted the 3400, the wife wanted the 3650RK. I am sure you know how that goes, so we got the 3650.
