Front end damage

On our way from South Carolina to West Palm Beach, to have our refrigerator repaired, we hit a road alligator (tire shreds) that put a small hole in the area of the front compartment next to the front landing leg. It is the white exterior.

Does anyone know how to repair this? Is it fiberglass? Thanks.

A shop that repairs fiberglass boats will do it...that's where I got mine repaired.

You seem to be having one problem after another. You'll be relieved when you get everything repaired. We lost part of a fender (don't know what to call it, but is on passenger side slideout) because a mower in a campground flipped a rock at us. We looked at the time, but didn't see any damage. We noticed it later on down the road. Too late to do anything about it then. It also took part of the rubber off of the swinging door handle. Just cosmetic, but needs to be fixed. We'll have to replace the entire fender. Wonder how costly that will be . . .

Some auto body shops also do this, as Fiberglas repair is the same as using Bondo on cars.

Thanks, everyone for the ideas.

Kat had a great idea and that is to put some diamond plate in the corners, not only to cover the one hole, but also to reinforce the area in case I hit another road alligator. Will have to check that out.

We just had ours fixed at Sun Coast in Ocala and they used a roll of heavy viny... They had it on hand. We were having damage repaired from forgetting the tailgate down on our truck.

Adelmoll,

When you have a chance, would you take a picture and post it here?

Thanks,
