Leaving Florida
We have completed our winter tour of Florida. We left St. Andrews State Park in P.C. Fl. yesterday and are heading to Charleston S.C. to visit with our son. We will be in that area for over a month.
We are in Tallahassee Fl. at this time, just a visit with our other son for the weekend.
We had a great time this winter, met a few MOC'ers, but alot of Montana owners are not members. We did have the pleasure of meeting Gladys and Phil Wilson (indy roadrunner) this past week at the park.
If you are in the area of Charleston S.C. the month of May and June send us a message or come by, we will be staying at Lake Aire RV Park.

Dave and Brenda, when you are in Charleston, have you ever visited Folley(spelling)Beach?. Actually, Folley Beach is between Lake Aire RV Park and Charleston. If you haven't, stop by the Folley Hideaway there, one of the best eateries in that area. We asked a native of Folley Beach where they eat at and they recommended the Hideaway.
When you come into Folley Beach from rte 17, turn right at the main street and go about 4/5 blocks on right. The sign for the restaurant is, was, a piece of ply wood with the name spray painted on it. They also had live entertainment in the evenings, great place to eat and listen to good music!

Steve, good to hear from you again. We have been to Folley Beach, but I am not sure we have eaten at this place. We will definitely research it when we are there. We will be there at least a month, so we will have time.
We decided to stop today at Cumberland Island, staying at Crooked River State Park, very nice, big sites, we have never been on the Island, so we decided to check it out tomorrow. It is raining now, hope it clears up tomorrow.
Hope all is well with you and Patti, keep in touch if you get on the road. If we can get close enough to hookup, it's a deal.

You might want to look at James Island Campground in Charlestown. Its a city campground and its well maintained and clean. During Christmas season they put on a light show with 2-3 million lights that is one of a kind. Its our favorite.

HughM, we did consider and look at James Island. We were offered a host job there, but time restrictions for us would not let us stay that long. The reason we chose Lake Aire is it is a Passport America park and the cost is less, plus it is closer to our son's house.
James Island is a much nicer park by far. We would have loved to have stayed there.
