Arizona
Today finally got here. In a couple of hours we will fire up the Redrover and head out to Arizona. We don't have a set time schedule for traveling, but we will get there eventually. Our first destination is Lyman Lake St. Pk. in East Central AZ. Our plans are to work our way down towards Tuscon. Meeting nice people like the ones of MOC are what makes this lifestyle so appealing.Hopefully my wife and I will do just that on this trip.

We will be headed towards Tucson after leaving here, (Vegas) hope to run into you.
We will probably stay at the Voyager, unless we can find a better one. We are coming through Phoenix along the way.

I am not sure when we will be in the Tucson area, but will keep in touch and try to make sure our paths cross. The trip did not start out too good. Trish,my wife, lost her cell phone at a rest area on I10, so we had to call Sprint to shut it off. Now we have to locate a place to get her a new one. Just a minor bump in the road.I'm sure there will be more bumps before this journey is done.

Darn,
I hate to do that, I lost one in a Casino in K.C. a guy that worked there, got a battery that fit it and contacted a friend, so I got it back............after I bought a new one.
Oh well, it was nice of him.
Good luck on your trip, that was a small bump.

Ozz!
We went there last year - you'll enjoy it if you like the water!
We didn't take the Monty - so I don't have any recommendations for a campground. We stayed at the London Bridge Resort, which I wouldn't recommend even to my X-wife.
There was someone else in the MOC heading there for the winter, but I can't remember who.

Have a good trip, Dee. There will be lots of MOC'ers in Arizona. We'll be going the other direction this winter but maybe we'll run into you later on.
Ozz, let me know what you think of that park in Lake Havasu City. We're thinking LHC for winter after this one.
Jim, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer park than the Voyager. Some like Beaudry better, some like Voyager. We stayed at the Voyager and haven't tried Beaudry. Next time I'd like to be down around Tombstone or Bisbee, though.

Steve, we stayed at the Voyager last year, did the Tombstone trip as well, we really loved Tucson, probably just barely behind Santa Fe for the best location for us, we do love South Padre Island in the Winter.....
Sue and I are looking forward to Lake Havasu, also the trip barely into California so we can get a Magnet for the stove!
Will look into Beaudry. Haven't heard of that one.
Thanks, Ozz

We have stayed at the Islander twice. Nice place, if they haven't filled it up with park models. Lots to see and do in the area, you'll enjoy your stay.
Ever been to Sedona? It's beautiful and worth a trip.

Haven't been back for years, but after leaving Sedona I ended up in Jerome (99% abaondoned back then). Kind of a neat little mining history then. Strange to see a ghost town as young as 1965.
