I drop the RV down about 2 inches on the drivers side before I pack her up and raise the jacks. This usually gets the rest out of the drain tube.

I had that surprise the first (actually second) time I used the RV!! I hook up the sewer end of the hose before attempting to attach the hose to the coach, so I caught the nasty when I unscrewed end cap. Thorough flushing the black tank before leaving has prevented a repeat.
