Hi folks,
I actually joined the forum almost four years ago, while I was still working, in anticipation of buying a Montana. Circumstances intervened and, by the time I was able to retire, I found a lightly used Cedar Creek Champagne for a song and ended up buying that for me and my DW Kathy to live in.
We ended up wrecking that and totaling our truck during a freak double blow-out, probably from road debris. The bottom line is that about a year ago we bought our 3121 RL Anniversary Edition and I’ve been enjoying myself so much, traveling the USA, that I’ve not gotten around to officially introducing myself. I have, though, checked out the forum here on occasion and found valuable information allowing me to correct issues that kept me from having to ask questions.
We love the livability of our rig and, having learned from towing and parking our 42’ Cedar Creek, that the 35’ Of our current rig fits our lifestyle much better. If I had bought the original Montana that I was eyeing, while still working, we likely would be looking to downsize now.

Congrats on your purchase (although a bit late). Like you, when we traded our last TT for our current 5er, I joined this forum site almost immediately. But it wasn't until just a few weeks ago I started taking an active part. I've read a lot here, and finally had the "Ah Ha!" moment that this forum targeted the specific issues with my Montana that other sites do not. Seems everyone HERE understands our specific breed of animal where as on other forum sites you get a mix hodge-podge of responses to any question, because everyone is relating to their own unique RV. Here, I also feel a bit more like I'm among "family" too.
I envy you opportunity to travel now, but also am very glad you are able to do so. Enjoy the lifestyle while you can. I'm sorry to hear about your former RV experience, but am grateful you and "yours" are OK and have recovered from the loss so well. You sound like you have a great attitude and enjoy life! That's fantastic!
