Changing slide out breaker
The dining room slide on my 07 3075RL stops about 3 times as it comes in. I have searched the forum and you have told me the 2 breakers are located below the pump. One for the landing gear, other for the slide. I am no electrician, but handy enough to tackle this problem.
Can I find an 80 amp resettable in line breaker at an auto parts store? Will this be a simple take the 50 amp out and replace with the 80? Do I need anything else from the auto parts store, or anywhere else to finish the project?
Thanks to this forum I have been able to do most of the small repairs myself. Thanks guys for your sharing and wealth of knowledge.

You can probably just replace the 50 with another 50. I also have an '07 3075RL and my slides would usually stop 3 times. Replaced the 50 amp breaker with another 50 and problem solved. Just a weak breaker I guess.
NAPA did have a 50 amp breaker, but it did not have the mounting tabs, and no other way to mount it. No other local auto parts stores had a 50 amp. Had to go to an RV parts store to get one.

I did what BB TX did replacing a 50amp with a 50amp. In two years no problem. Helped a person in a campground replace theirs that had no mounting tabs. We made a mounting tab with a piece of tin can and a ty-wrap. Jim

If you PM me with your e-mail address, I will send you the procedure for the fix from Lippert. I recommend using two 50A breakers instead of the single 80A breaker. The 80A breaker is very pricey compared to the 50A.

Not only are the 80 amp breakers expensive, they are hard to find and I doubt you'll find one at an auto parts store. As Jack said, you can use two 50 amps (or 40 amps for that matter). You need to wire them parallel so both share the load equally and you're good to go!

I just fixed mine from the instructions that Jack sent me and it works flawlessly. Jack sent me a photo that explained it easily.

Ours did the same thing and when I researched it on this forum I found that some had issues with a poor ground. Checked the ground connection and reconnected it with a better ground on the steel frame. No more problems since, and that was three years ago.

I too had this problem. I replaced the original 50 amp with a 50 Hi-AMP that I purchased. I have not had a problem since. Cost was like $23.00. Drilled a couple of new holes in the same location, hooked up the wires and I was done. Works great.

I had the same problem with my slides which started prior to Labor Day. I needed some additional work done anyway so asked the service mgr what was wrong. He indicated that it was the breaker and replaced it for the cost of the part, $5.75 although the labor was probably buried with the other work. Needless to say, I bought a spare. They did tell me that the old one was only 30 amp but replaced it with a 50. Is that possible?

I have to wonder why you're having the problem in the first place. Usually when we start having problems with slides it's because the rail teeth and gear pack need lubing. Usually it will start with the slides kind of jumping a little, not moving smoothly. Lubricating usually takes care of that problem.
This might be of no help to you at all but I do have to wonder why it's popping the 50 amp breaker in the first place. That should be plenty. It is on ours, anyhow.

I think the hydraulic system is running right on the edge with the 50 amp breaker. Any little change, and the breaker starts to trip, and weakens the more it trips. IIRC, the pump is rated at 100 amps. Lippert has the 80 amp breakers in their liquidation center, but like Tom said, they are pricey. Around $45 plus shipping.

The fifty amp breaker they put in has one pin that rusts.
Member Art of "Art-n-Marge" sent me the fix and I did it in an afternoon. It was fairly straight forward and his instructions were great.
I used 6 gauge wire
2 40 am circuit breakers from an auto parts store
4 copper connectors
some black electrical tape
Go get 'em

I used a 80 Amp Car Circuit Breaker cost about $8.00 + shipping. There are many that have adds on eBay Stores, here is example:
