Dennis,

We have a version of it on our web page

http://geocities.com/genieyorks/montanaourwaywinter06

But someone else posted some really great photos, in the last month, maybe 6 weeks, you would think a search opening up the time frame and using the word anywhere, not in the subject would pop it up. Silly internet! HA HA

We bought a neat device to do the same thing it requires you to drill a 3/8 hole in the plastic slide then insert a special grommet with a sloped center hole. In the hole goes a 4" shaft with a thumb tab on the inside. It's set up so that when you lift the tab it pushes down on the lever and opens the screen door. Bought it a local camping store for $5 took all of 2 min to install. I'm sure my description sounds more complicated than it really is. I'll try to post a picture.

Dennis, credit goes to Norm Kwist (nkwist). It is his invention. I just copied it.

You know I made that same mod to our screen door and rarely get to use it. Ever since I did it the temps have sky rocketed and I now keep both doors closed because of the AC.

(Al put in one of the storm doors on our rig this spring! I have been able to keep the door open with that, not toooooo much cool air escaping.)

Thanks to Norm and Steve, we've made the screen door opener, too. Like many others, we had a tinted storm door made (although it needed a lot of fine tuning to fit properly) and now run the heater and the AC with the main door open. We love the openness.

We made these improvements also and we really love them. Thanks to all those who came up with the ideas and posted them so we could copy them.

Good pictures, Don. Thanks.

1/8 inch drill bit. Be sure to drill the upper hole with the slider closed so it notches the slider. Otherwise the slider will not fully close and those little bugs will figure that out real quickly. This is really great when your hands are full. I can open the screen door with my elbow.

Our current opener is made with a wire coat hanger. OntMont used a chrome bicycle spoke. I think I'm doing the same on the next one.
