Another amazing idea from Keystone

When I removed my fireplace I found a speaker back there, not fastened down, just left to wander around on it's own whever the roads may shake it to. First question; Is that supposed to be there,not fastened down? (It is hooked up and working facing the outer wall,I guess for the neighbors enjoyment). Second question: Can anyone tell me how to disassemble the tulip syle chandelier lights so I can clean out the dead critters? All help is welcome. Merry Christmas to all!!!!

The speaker is your sub-woofer that is only used as part of the surround sound. I am pretty sure that it should be fastened down in some manner.

Found ours a couple years ago when I pulled the fireplace to clean and replace bulbs. I used 3M velcro type fasteners to attach it to the front wall, so it is facing into the room. Not sure what they were thinking, having it just float around in there.

My subwoofer is on an upper shelf in a cabinet above the TV. Also not anchored down. I would guess they do not anchor any of the subwoofers down since they are typically hidden in out of the way places.

found my speakers the same way. used velcro tape to put them in place. the were above the tv but one was laying down right behind the tv also. surround sound is MUCH better now

Yep,i think the woofers are all just sitting loose on my 2015 it is in a cabinet,but my 2012 was behind the Fireplace but the weird thing is they have Never fallen over so heck I never saw a problem with it

If they are behind the fireplace they can't go anywhere. I see no problem. What is going to happen to it? My recliners just set at the back of the camper. Never moved an inch.

Tulip lights...remind me of upside down dessert glasses. First problem is that mine and all that I have ever seen use bulbs with the wedge base...where the connection wires come out of the glass envelope and just fold over. Usually a pain in the hinnie to get out when they burn out. I detailed changing over to bayonet base bulb sockets a year plus ago...so archive post now. Taking apart - take screws out of ceiling, cut wires, remove bulb, get something to reach way down into it below socket and turn counter-clockwise to remove socket. Glass is held on by the nut that holds in socket...at least mine were. That's the way to do it. John

My assumption was that you were referring to the pendant lights over kitchen counter/island. If not, forget my comment. John

John, I was referring to the lights just inside the door that come on when the door opens, but same thing except upside right dessert dishes. In light of the fact that it is a major undertaking to dissasemble them, I'll find a way to rig up an attachment for the vacuum cleaner to suck the critters out. thank you all for your responses.

Our montana was built with pancake lights in most of the areas, except over rear entertainment center, in slide over recliners and table, and over kitchen island. The pancakes are those that have a control switch in the center between two clear plastic lens so you can turn them off and not have a wall switch control them. On these, you insert a thin blade between the switch area and either clear lens to slide the lens slightly to the outside of the fixture, then four plastic prongs can be disengaged from the base. I have three of these pancake lights that come on with either the door or a switch on the control panel. And, of course, the two slide lights have a finial that turn off to reveal a threaded rod nut that hold on the glass covers. There are so many different light fixture formats used in different years and models...makes it hard to know exactly what someone has an issue with. John

Thats where my subwoofer is. Mine is screwed to the floor, not bouncing around at all.

oh come on now people............ Velcro and fastners cost money, you really didn't expect Keystone to fork over $0.18 did ya!
And besides, you weren't supposed to be removing that fireplace and find that Easter egg back there.
