Getting batteries in and out...
I'm hoping someone has MacGyvered a solution to my problem: In my 3400RL, the batteries are sitting in the front compartment, inside a big white box. I have 2-6V. golf cart batteries. I would like to get them out for storage, so I can keep them on my battery tender in my garage. But, I've not gotten any younger in the last few years (imagine that!) AND I have a problem shoulder. I'm really not sure I can make that lift in and out of that box any more! Those buggers were brutally heavy, and I remember putting them in 2 years ago, wondering how I was ever going to get them out.
Is there anyone that has figured out a workable system, short of convincing some young buck with a strong back to do it for me?

You might be surprised what a young able- bodied man of legal age would lift for you for a couple of cold ones.

Young buck. I have the same problem but my one battery weighs more than both of yours. I would make a triangle lift of 2x4s that extended under the camper with a long handle to pick the battery up with a rope to the back of the handle to hold the battery while you pulled the lift from under the camper.

They make a Rubber Strap that hooks on both sides of the Battery if they are Golf Cart style.
I sit on a stool and lift them out a lot easier on your back

I use the rubber strap. I then have my SIL on one side of the strap and me on the other and we lift it together. It does make it a lot easier that way.

I'm 71 and can lift my four T-105's out if need be, but since I've also solar and they stay charged, they stay in the rig. Sub zero weather won't hurt a fully charged battery.

If you have power and a smart charger, no reason to remove batteries.

I hook a cable come-along on the shaft that drives the landing legs and a rubber strap on the batteries.

Grandson is always available. I used to be able to but not the last couple of years. I had a question about winter removal but I think it was answered. I guess it's no different than the one in the car. Keep it charged and it's ok.

That's correct. Before we went full time we never removed them. Just made sure they stayed charged.

We leave our Golf Cart in a unheated building up North for 6 months just disconnect the terminals.no trickle charger fully charged prior to storage the Trogans are 8 years old.others in our Campground does the same no problems

unless you dry camp alot, another way is to just downsize back to one or two 12 volt batteries at your next change.
