Battery isolator switch: No power to slides?

I just returned from a 1200 mile trip to Santa Fe and back with my Monty. Great trip, but TWICE on the trip, I saw 5'ers with a slide out while towing!!! It freaked me out for sure! I am assuming it is just a switch or wire that shorts out and the danged things just run themselves out?

So I started wondering (incessantly) how to prevent this, and immediately thought of the battery isolator switch in the convenience center. Is there any reason NOT to turn that switch while under way? This gave me the heebie jeebies to see it happen twice on the same trip!

Slides coming out is usually a problem with valves or seals on the hydraulic slide mechanism.

Not necessary. Slide creep happens as noted above, hydraulic or valve issue. Some RVs have slide locking braces, but not necessary with Montana units.
