Corrugated Plastic Underbelly Repair
Had to access an area through the corrugated plastic underbelly by cutting the plastic for electrical wiring repair. This was in the left rear area where the water tank drain is located. Is there a good/reputable repair method to apply after the plastic is cut? Tried a 2 inch foam tape, but it gives in after a short period of time. Also tried gorilla tape with no success. Appreciate any helpful on this. Thanks Ellis

Hi Ellis,
I cut some sheet-metal, made the patch 2 or 3" larger, then just screwed it to the bottom, but my bottom was solid plastic. Maybe Dicor for a sealant? That stuff sticks to everything.

Have done it many times and one vote for gorilla tape as well just make sure you clean the area first with brake cleaner or similar degreaser for it to stick good

Yes area has to be clean for Gorilla tape to adhere properly. Dealerships have a product just for that purpose also.

Thanks for the valued help. Will get at it on this Thursday and try the Gorilla tape again. The hot Yuma, Az summers seem to be the problem with adhesion!!

I used Oz's method with screw. The only difference was I use a larger piece of the underbelly material from the local dealer. Works great.
