Pigeon Forge for Spring Break
We're leaving in the morning for Pigeon Forge. We were going to Tampa but have decided to stay closer. We'll be at Eagle's Nest on Hwy 321.

Eagle's Nest is a nice cg, we've stayed there quite a few times. The trolly stops in the parking lot so you can leave the truck there if you like. Passport Park also, never hurts to save some money while enjoying the area!

We are at Eagle's Nest now. We have stayed here for many years. It is not the park with the nicest ammenities, but is clean with gravel roads and gravel pads. It is quiet and we enjoy staying here. They have FHUs, cable and WIFI. A 30 AMP site is $19 / night including taxes and fees with Passport America. There are nicer parks close by with nicer pools and game rooms etc., but we like it here and have found the management to be helpful.
There is a nice river that flows around two sides of the park. The rain this winter has really made a difference in the river. The river had really silted up over the last few years, but the rains have really cleaned the silt out and left the nice creek rock bottom that is the norm here. The slower economy and reduced construction may have helped with the silt as well.
BTW We usually come to Pigeon Forge every year for Spring Break. We drove through several of the local campgrounds and were surprised at the number of sites available. I guess the economy has kept lots of folks home. We decided to come anyway and while we're watching the pennies a little closer, we have had a great time with our granddaughter.
