More Storage
This is what we did today for more storage, under the bed. Cut an opening in the plywood bottom 12 x 12 x 36, and made a box that will drop in the opening, and can be removed to check things out if needed.

Larry & Lavonne,
That is really nice! What a great Idea! I've seen that many people have made an opening in the plywood for more storage, but this is the first time I've seen it contained. No worries about any thing moving about and getting in the way of the slide mechanisms. Good Job.

Great idea. Montana's have a lot of storage areas, but most are not as large as the one you created. With a false lid, that would be good hidden storage area for large items.

Nice job and thanks for the photo. Since I have to open up that area to trouble shoot my outside hook style crack I will put one in our area. Oh, I did get permission from the boss.
Larry, did you put wheels under the box or is it just supported on a frame? Just trying to get my parts list together before I start.
Cheers,

Great looking job. I also would like to know if it slides on the carpet or is supported by a flange around the edge?

Yes we are killing time, with all of the Moc Friends leaving, and trying to keep up with all of Al's projects.

I put a flange around the top edge using a 1 x 2 that will support the box, you can't put wheels on it because there is some steel support for the slide that cross.
