spray-on bedliner--shiny and black finish?

We are closing in on a decision between the Line-X and Rhino spray-on bedliners and have a question to ask. We have seen a few trucks where their spray-on bedliners are shiny and black, whereas most of them have a dull, black/grey finish. Is this just a sun exposure/aging result, or is there some way to get and keep a shiny black finish, which the DW strongly prefers. Anything I can do in choosing or ordering the bedliner to get one that is more likely to stay shiny and black? or anything I can do aftermarket to help keep it that way?

David I have a line-X and mine will get a dull finish on it as I use it and abuse it by hauling firewood and other stuff around in it. But a good power washing and some Armour all and it looks like new again. I think the biggest reason mine gets the dull look is because of the amount of dust and dirt I toss in there by hauling leaves from home and other dirty stuff and not cleaning it out often enough. No mater which one you choose keep it clean and it will look shinny for a long time. I only use the Armour-All when showing the truck off or if I am not going to be hauling anything in it for a long time. Like during the fall when I remove the hitch and it is covered for most of the winter with a roll up cover.

I use Dawn dish soap. It does not give it a bright shine, but sure looks nice when I am done. I am going into my 3rd winter and in my opinion, it still looks new. Remeber if you use any cleaners that put a shine to it, may also cause it to become slippery when wet. Just a word of caution.

We have the Rhino liner and have been pleased with it. Our installer gave us a product called "Mist and Shine" (probably similar to Armour-All) that we use after cleaning up the bed. Shines it up real good.

I have a white GMC, and I chose the white liner from Line-X. Looks great! And, the heat in the back of the bed is a lot less. Cost another $150, but worth it.
