Plumbing Question

I see a lot of connectors on the plastic plumbing system in the Monty. Do you need special tool to work with this type of material?

Do these plastic connectors tend to be compression type fittings that you can tihten with your hand? And can you simply cut the pipe with something sharp?

The reason I am asking is I have a silencer kit for the water pump but may need to do a little modification to get it to work.

Thanks, and Happy Camping

I cut mine with a razor knife and tightened them by hand. They are compression type fittings.

Thank you I have a severe case of Spring Fever, today in Northern Wisconsin it is going to be 52 degrees! Getting the Monty out of hibernation, slowly breathing life into her too!

Happy Camping!

rkassl, have you looked and the weather forecast for you??? Winter Storm Watch for Sun night/Mon morning - 5"-8" of white stuff.

Do me a favor, though. That system is supposed to be over us Mon. Could you please see what you can do about sucking as much of that stuff out of the sky as possible??? Sorry to be so self centered, but we almost got the snow depth down to 1 to 2 feet over here in NW Lower Mich. This will mess that up...

BTW, what silencing kit are you putting on your water pump?

I saw the weather warning for today, but it was a beautiful day yesterday. When we were at the CW in Minnesota, they had this kit by Sureflo. Basically you disconnect the factory connections and splice in these flexible hoses between your pump and the rigid plastic pipe. Apparently some of the noise with the pump is vibration of the pipes, this should reduce it somewhat I hope.

Final report may have to wait while I shovel the snow!

Happy Camping
