Annual Maintenance of Propane Appliances

It's my understanding that in order to reap the benefits of warrantees beyond the one year point of ownerrship you have to have you LP appliances serviced. I am coming up on a year and trying to decide if I should pay someone to do the "maintenace" or just ignore the requirement.

Currently, everything (Refrigerator, Furnance, and Water Heater) are working fine. I hate to put out hundreds of $$$$ just to (at best) allow someone to screw up what seems to be working OK!

I'm sure that many of my fellow forum members are in the same situation with LP appliances within warrantee but requiring annual required by the manufacturer.

Please, what are you doing about it and why?
