I do two things when I first look at a new forum, as I usually look in the "Today's Posts" location. The first is to see the date the original post was made. It's interesting to see new posts on a thread that was started 3 or 4 years ago.
The second is to look at the original poster's signature line to see what kind of camper he/she has. If they do not have a signature line, I check their profile. If they do not have anything listed in their profile, what kind of rig they have, I'll search their past posts to see if I can get an indication of what they have. If the original poster has a camper that is 10 years old, I attempt to tailor my answers based on the camper I had 10 years ago.
What I'm having trouble relating to, are the newest campers, especially those that have come out with in-command and some other more current technologies I'm not familiar with.
That's how I handle it.
