just curious?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how long the Keystone company has been making fifth wheels? I don't see a lot of old ones on the road. I think the oldest one I have seen has been a 2000 model. I was wondering how long these Montanas will last. Thanks for the input.

Dave Anderson had a 1998, and I believe that was the first year Montana started making 5th wheels. Do any of you know for sure?

Your right Doug. 1998 was the first model year for the Monty's and that is what Dave had.

They must be doing a lot of things right to come that far in that short of time. "North America's #1 selling fifth wheel 6 consecutive years" according to their web site.

I agree. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it with the right price and eye appeal to capture market share. Their repeat business is high also. I am on my second one and so are many others.

Are we talking just Montana, or the whole Keystone line of RV's?

The main Keystone site states "#1 in retail RV sales in North America." Where as the Montana site states "North America's #1 selling fifth wheel 6 consecutive years". There is no mention of either of these on the other Keystone brand sites. From this it appears that the Montana line has pushed Keystone to the top of the sales leaders.

Let me rephrase that. I was wondering if Keystone made other fifth wheels before the Montana or if that was their first fifth wheel?
