My information came from the state of Va. I don’t understand the difference in the numbers.

There have been questions raised about the discrepancies between locally posted numbers vs national or international posted numbers. It seems it is generally felt that locally posted numbers are more accurate.

On their chart it says "cases may not yet be reported". Seems the info published on that chart is out of date.

Well, the President just announced on his daily Coronavirus Stand-up that things are going to be bottled up now, until April 30. My wife just canceled our reservations for the 2nd and 3rd week-end at 2 different Indiana State Parks.

I guess my plans have now changed.

We just got home from a visit to a central CA private campground. On the way home we made reservations to turn around and go back on Wednesday. Now that Trump has extended the current limitations we are looking at traveling to NV for various activities. We still conform to the rules of engagement but owing an rv gives us an opportunity to comply wherever we want.

Might get canceled, sad 🙃
You may not be able to get through the Canadian border on your way north to Alaska. Our federal government has shut down the crossings to essential travel only, and has now mandated our border agents to turn folks around without a documented exception to the general rule - no need, no entry.

Hopefully this terrible plague will abate before your planned departure, but I strongly recommend you continually check with Canada Border Services on the status of travel into Canada, right up to the time you plan to enter the border area. Also, a reminder to read up on the rules about firearms before departure, so you don't have to smuggle them in, risking jail time and confiscation.

People started hoarding toilet paper before they started hoarding food. Then started in on food of all kinds, including eggs and milk that are perishable and only good for 2-3 weeks. Now they are hoarding flour and paper plates among other things. Canned veggies and dry pasta I can understand. Why flour and paper plates???

And guns and ammo sales have shot way up. People did the same with guns after 9-11. Because they expected an islamic invasion??? Bought them after Obama was elected president. Because they thought there would be a race war??? And now because of the economic downturn due to the COVID-19. Because they think people are going to start breaking in to steal their toiler paper????

Fear does the strangest things to people who are normally otherwise sensible.

We have a couple extra rolls. I’m going to swap them for a new car.

Heading out next week

We are watching on a daily basis but unless Arizona State Parks close campgrounds, we are heading out next week as planned. The only changes are our intermediate stops have cancelled/closed so we will have to find alternatives such as wal-mart parking lot or truck stop. These were going to be quick stopover anyway for sleep before getting back on the road.

However it should be noted This Covid 19 is really an indoor disease, if there are no large crowds outdoors the chance for transmission is negligent. I find it really Ironic at least here in Washington which is/was considered a hot spot that the state closed the parks for camping yet they left the parks open for day use and are still maintaining the indoor common areas like Bathrooms. Even out private campgrounds are closed which are almost all full hookup where every one is self contained.

I see no reason why the parks cannot open campgrounds close the bathrooms and gathering areas and only allow self contained camping. They could even limit people per campsite. As mentioned the Stet forced our Private membership campground (only 38 spaces) to close where we have NO common areas except for laundry, and every sit is full hookup.

Get this Boeing the states largest employer is bringing production employees back next week as they pleaded with the state to be considered as Essential Business. Talk about lack of social distancing. Washington better brace for for a significant rise in infections. Freaking mind Boggling we are on lock-down til May 4th yet Boeing goes back to work

Great response, everybody needs to do the right thing, not what just feels good for them!
