They have got it figured out, just not willing to fix the problem. 12,000 BTUs cools 700 square feet of my home and 24,000 wont cool a 400 square foot camper. Come on! It’s the duck work, the insulation or the AC units or probably all of the above.

OP may have started in 2014 - but as Lynwood mentioned above … not willing - in time hopefully. My '17 was good the first two trips and then went to heck quickly. Dealer added kits on the return during warranty visit and vents have been modified. Depending on time this summer, will make removable blockers for stairs. Had a thought reading this about using the screen blocker to possible cover the whole slide, not just the window (pros/cons?)

re: Collapsed Ducts

I saw this and wondered if those who have ducts that are collapsing also have this newer duct joint. Is it actually helping this issue?

How'd you get them in? How many do you need? Guess I need to fire up the bore scope and go looking

You may also want to add additional Return air grills closer to the ac unit. I installed one in the center directly underneath each unit. You can feel the difference as more air is drawn into the ac. I removed one of the return grills and used a flashlight and a mirror to make sure i was making the cutout in the right place . If you cut a hole in the wrong spot, you might end up with an additional supply air to the room in which case you can cover the hole by adding another grill . I used a very small drill bit when i punch the hole through , just in case.

I just got back from my 2020. I cut every other rib on the vents. Made a big difference in air flow.

I checked my returns and no collapsing of the ducting m it appears that they did make changes to the design. They added supports. They are hard plastic and seem to be doing the job without stopping air flow.

I still feel like my whisper quiet is moving less air than the regular 15k unit up front.

AC Duct Work

Dear Rsaylor3,
Your 2020 High Country has newly developed duct work. Keystone also utilized the Tuf-Lok A/C duct joiners. This collar is new to the industry and patented by Keystone. The link below will show you a picture of the Tuf-Lok. In general, yes your duct work and system is updated.

I don't. The video was posted in Oct, 2017 so possibly going into the 2018 production year? He does say in the comments that this was brand new at that time.

I have a 2019 40 ft 5th wheel. When it’s hot outside, the ac will cut out for a second and then start blowing again. It sounds like the compressor is still running but just the fan quits blowing. Is this normal or any idea what it is ? Thanks

I'm guessing your running your fan in auto. Try running fan on high on these really hot days.

How are you installing the PVC? I'm a visual learner - any pictures?

I’m with awheeler pics would be great for the pvc inserted. I get the idea, but what keeps it from moving around?

it is tight enough that the pressure for roof above and ceiling below keep it from moving

I’m with you! Some of us Newbies have no idea how exactly to use the PVC idea mentioned. ( Your's Truly )

Can someone post a diagram or something so we can better understand how to fix this problem?

Also in extremely hot temps should you run fans on high or auto?

I know these seem like silly questions, but your experience is appreciated! Thanks!
