We are not alone anymore. Dave and Linda Hatcher just pulled in beside us. Looks like the rally is beginning. We are here at the Harley Hill camping area.

Maybe not, but there are a LOT of motorhomes all around you. Been there a couple of times this week.

Don't be surprised if you have to move, once site assignments are posted...

We are not in the rally area. we are parked outside the gate in the Harley Hill area. Rollie and Janet Newman are here now. There are still some empty sites here. The office said there were over 500 motor homes here.

If I understand correctly, which is rare these days, Harley Hill IS part of the Rally parking??? There are only like 70 or 76 sites down in the main area, we have what, 120 almost, give or take, coming??

We are having a little "pre-rally" gathering. Yes, we will move to our assigned sites when the time comes but for now we are here and enjoying ourselves. The fun has begun!

I hear there are going to be little pre-rally rallies all over Elkhart County and beyond!

CountryGuy and I cannot leave here yet.

We have the light on at Elkhart Campground. Taking our Tana to Tiara tomorrow to have new shower installed and axle alignment check.
We arrived here on Labor Day and have been waiting for the shower to come in ever since.. Nice monthly rate at Elkhart though but we had to skip our planned trip to Michigan to visit friends on Lake Huron.

Mudchief & Carol - YES, HARLEY's HILL (SITES 170 - 188) IS ONE OF THE RALLY AREAS. If ANYONE is THERE, on RING ROAD (sites 310 - 326), or in the NW area (sites 401 - 476) prior to the rally and NOT on your assigned site (& the site you paid for), then you WILL HAVE TO MOVE.

Mudchief - you assigned site 422, Rollie is on 433, so you both will have to move.

This has been explained AND warned about NUMEROUS times since April in the Rally area of the Forum...

We all understand that. Today I move to Mor/Ryde to get work done. Tuesday I move to Lippert to get work done. Then Wednesday to my assigned site. With the level-up system it makes it a breeze.

Dennis - great. Didn't mean to come down hard but, sometimes with some folks (not you guys), I have to in order to get the point across...

Good luck @ LCI & MOR/ryde...

Jim, I am not upset and want to thank you for all of your hard work so far. I posted the post because I got here first and saw all of the empty spaces and wondered why there were not other Montana's here. There were only 3 site taken and now I have heard that the camp ground was tell everyone that called that they had no space.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Same here Dennis. A lot of folks stayed away because of the 500+/- buses over there & came up to the Elkhart Campground.

Looking forward to seeing you & everyone else next week...!

When I called the fairgrounds couple weeks ago, I was told there would be no place to park - temporary before Monday. We are in Effingham IL now and moving tomorrow to Beaver Ridge family Campground - south of South Bend for two nights because of that call.

We were at Elkhart until last Monday and will be back Tuesday evening. Have been in the UP and Canada since we left.

If you call the campground ask for Bev. She seems to be the right person to talk to. Currently there are 7 sites open here on Harley Hill.
