Lots of additions and mods

Finally got the new High Country 294RL we ordered earlier this year. Haven't been able to camp due to Covid-19. Decided I might as well start the project list.
Added shelves to the cabinets above the stove and in the pantry. Raised the hanger rod in one of the bedroom closets so the DW can hang summer dresses. Added a TV with locking swing arm mount in the bedroom and added a Roku to the living room TV. Installed a dimmer switch for the ceiling lights in the bedroom. Installed towel holders and a shower caddy in the bathroom. Installed a dimmer switch for the lights above the rear couch. Added hangers for the dogs leashes near the entry door. Added a motion light in the front storage area and another motion light on the left side of the basement storage area.

Still have to install dual batteries, add the Winegard 4G/WiFi router, and 4 gallon pressure tank in the basement.

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to learn and share. What is your pressure tank for?

It stops the on/off cycling of the water pump. Once the pump shuts off, you can turn off the water pump and still have plenty of water to flush the toilet or wash your hands at night.

Welcome! Looks like you've done this before, nice. I had a captive air tank once and liked it. This time I put in a high performance pump with variable speed motor. It makes the intermittent use of water sensible like a tank does but by running slow and quiet. The other and main reason is for good water pressure and volume for showers. Comes in handy when city water pressure is too low.

Thank you. It is a great upgrade from the SOB trailer we traded in. Looking forward to putting some smiles and miles in it. No matter how good they build them there is always something to improve or personalize.
Hopefully we can all get out and enjoy them soon.

How easy was it to install the dimmer switches? Thinking I need to do that.

I bought the RecPro dimmers on Amazon. The bedroom was easy as the power and ground wires were easy to access in the wall. The rear couch dimmer was a little tougher as the ground wires in the wall were short and had to be extended. I wanted to mount them direct to the wall except the hole in the wall was too big and wouldn't be covered with the dimmer switch. I had to mount the dimmer to the original switch mount and bezel. Turned out nice and it is very nice to be able to dim the lights.

Congrats and WELL DONE! Our new rig is awaiting shipment from the factory. Looks like we are going to have to cancel our spring break trip starting this Thursday as it won't be here. Our state parks are still open and so are the campgrounds within the parks. We've been without a rig since 2/3 and I'm going nuts!!

Just picked up ours. parks are all closed. They picked ours up on 12/6.

Batteries totally dead.
I need to look, but the cap looks like it was scraped. totally irritated and disappointed.

It looks like you are a pretty handy guy! Those hooks you installed, we installed something similar, but they are for hanging up our shoes. This way we don’t have them cluttering up an already small “foyer”. I have a key holder just to the right of the door, and I sometimes hang our cat’s leash on it. Yes, our cat will walk on a leash.

Can you please post a picture of your bathroom towel rack you installed? Have been noodling on putting up one in the bathroom of our 331RL. I wonder why Keystone does not install on at the factory.

Thanks in advance.

Great idea for using them as a shoe rack. I never thought of that. I don't see too many cats on a leash. My mom has a trained cat that does many trucks on command.

Water tank install almost done. With the below freezing temps at night I am waiting to fill the water and pressure test it and check for leaks. I did add a horizontal support half way up the front of the tank with a cable to hold it up. I did get the towel holders installed in the bathroom and the suction cup mounted shower caddy.

With so much time on your hands, you'd think you could take time to post pictures that were right side up, just say'n.

Nice job with all the mods! Looks very similar to the MH 384BR we have in our sights....I just may have to steal some of your ideas when we decide to pull the trigger I like the dimmer switch idea.

Can you provide a link to the water tank. We’re very intrigued. Thanks!
