First Complaint
We have owned our 2008 3400RL going on 3 years now and finally have come up with our first Keystone complaint. We bought our Montana used from a couple that really maintained it in pristine condition and completed a few upgrades. Since the majority of their trips were in the north during the summer they never felt the need to install a second a/c. We decided this year to add a second a/c since we do most of our traveling in the south. The independent shop that does our maintenance said "this will be a piece of cake" since your rig was pre-wired for a second a/c from the factory. Apparently "pre-wired" means different things to different people. When we did the install we found that Keystone didn't run wiring from the 2 zone thermostat to bedroom junction box and didn't install a circuit breaker for the second a/c instead they just jumped a feeder wire from the water heater circuit breaker. Don't get me wrong we love our rig and one complaint in 3 years I guess isn't really that bad, maybe we were just expecting too much! I can't help but wonder how much the extra circuit breaker and wire from the thermostat would have added to the cost of building the coach.
