Found mine in the basement behind the wall panel with the electrical and tv outlets.

First-- What year is your Mountaineer? This could give us a clue as to where to look. We have a 2004 Montana and the converter is behind the circuit breaker panel. How do I know-- had to have mine changed out last January in Florida. Mine wasn't charging either!

On our 2955 it was behind the bottom step to the bedroom. And it quit charging last winter, but was an easy fix, the plug for the converter had worked it's way out if the socket it was plugged into behind the rear basement wall.

Our Montana is a 2010...i had looked in most locations except the basement i will try that in the morning. In the mean time i picked up a smart charger and have both batteries maintained at 100%..other than this issue it has been a great maiden voyage!

Once you find it, it should be an easy replacement. Here is a thread where I changed ours. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=50481
