Toilet Fresh Water Line Dimensions
I have a 2007 3400RL that I am replacing the toilet in. Current one has the water line feed on the left, the new on the right. I contacted Keystone for the ID and OD dimensions of the line so I can get a piece to splice in if needed. Surprisingly they told me they don't have those kind of specs. Does anyone know the correct dimensions? My local repair facility told me to use 1/2" PEX, but that is not what is in the camper now. It is a clear type of PVC. There is also a preformed bracket that allows the pipe to bend without kinking. I'd like to order one of those also but don't know what it is called. Any and all information is appreciated. As info, the new unit is a Dometic 220.
Thanks.

Weird it is not Pex but when I changed over to a Dometic 310 from my Thetford on my old 2012 Monty the pex line did not bend enough or reach for the angle I needed so I just added a steel braided 1/2 inch flexible line to the pex

Mine was 1/2 inch pex type tubing. I didn't need to add anything as there was enough slack to reach the inlet on the new dometic 310. You can find those preformed brackets anywhere that sells pex tubing. If mine had not reached I would have done exactly what bigskyjimmy did.

I have only seen 1/2 Pex Flair_It brand fittings works well with Pex.Both PEX and Flair_It Brand fittings can be purchased most Local Hardware. The Fitting are easy to use come in all pluming configuration you could use a 90 to replace that preformed bracket

You are going to have to cut it anyway, so just turn off the water, maybe put a big towel on the floor to catch any water, and cut the pipe and take it to the hardware store. They will have whatever it takes to make the connections work.

I had 1/2" pex in an old 92 Aljo 5ver I ad years ago for the toilet. I would have thought they were all pex. In my 06 Montana it is pex also.

Dometic has a kit you can buy, much cheaper to get a 1/2 inch flex line from Home Depot. Shark bites are also useful for interfacing with pec lines.

Mine was also 1/2 Pex. I installed a Dometic 310 in my 3750. I also added an in line shut off valve in the water supply line behind the toilet. This way I can just shut the water off to the toilet if I need to do any maintenance or cleaning and still have water in the rest of the RV.. Plus if I get a leak I don't have to run outside.

I did what Bigskiyjimmmy did.... bought a 1/2" foot long braided extension to make the connection from the input line to the new Dometic 310 line that was on the right. Purchased it at Home Depot and it was not very expensive. I never even thought to look for a "kit" like 1retired06 describes because I figured any kind of special kit would be more expensive.
The prior Dometic 210 had the input on the left. The shortest extension I could find was a foot long. I didn't need much (about 2"), but it was enough not to reach. I ended up making a loop behind the toilet to make the connection. It is mostly hidden behind the new toilet and therefore not that big a deal. Connecting up this extension was definitely easier that installing the toilet and cleaning up everything. Good luck to you.

Now would also be a good opportunity to add a shut-off valve to the toilet supply line. I added one last year when I installed our Dometic 320 to replace the Thetford junk that came from the factory.

I believe it is 1/2 pex, just clear. The simplest solution is 1/2 pex and shark bite connectors from home depot. you can route any way you want and install shut offs. they make shark bite elbows, valves and unions.

Thanks to all for the advice. Upon further inspection I think it easier just to run a new solid piece cut to length from the basement connection to the new toilet. Connections in the basement are very easy to get at.

I thought about installing a shutoff but didn't want to add the extra length and will just bank that turning off the main water input is enough and I won't need to use the water when doing this. Your preference, but it's good to bring up a future "I shoulda done it" moment.
In my case I shoulda added one inline in the basement right under the toilet's floor. But I wanted to hurry up with the repair.

I used the shark bite connecters and also installed a 1/4 turn shut off also a shark bite valve. so easy to work on jon without turning off the water for the whole RV.
