2010 3150 rl
Just purchased a 2010 3150Rl, has Power King towmax STR 10 ply tires. not familiar with the brand. seem to have decent ratings online, haven't dug into the dot dates yet.
Anyone advise me on this brand?
Trailer is 11.5k empty close to 15k gvwr.

To avoid expensive damage from a blowout from these bombs, and with the weight of your rig, most are replacing them with Sailun S637 G range tires or the Goodyear G614 G range. The Chinese E range tires just do not have a good track record. Our 2012 rig came with the famous Goodyear Marathons, also Chinese made, and after the fifth tire failed, I went with the G614’s. The Sailuns were just coming out in early 2013, and were difficult to obtain, so the Goodyear’s were my only option.

The "Tow Max" tires are commonly referred to as "Blow Max". If they are the original, they are too old to run. Even if current, replace them ASAP as Bob recommends.

Thanks, that was my original impression that tbese may have been oem from 2010, obviously this trailer hasn't been pulled much. I had budgeted for tires on the tow rig and trailer but had hoped to spread them out a bit. I will start sourcing the Sailun 14 ply locally.

As stated, get those tires off you rig ASAP or I promise you, you will regret it. I have told everyone in my camping group about the junk ST tire issues and none listened. They have all had blowouts with significant trailer damage.

Are you certain they are Firestone ST tires.? I have never seen a firestone ST tire. I searched and came up with no results.

You mean Sailun. They are great tires. They are the new goodyear g614 replacements that a lot of us have went to. They are less that 1/2 the cost.

Simpletire.com usually has the best prices if you can't find Sailuns locally. They also partner with local installers and can deliver the tires to them instead of you.
