I have a 2009 keystone Montana with a norcold single refrigerator I am a new full time rv’er any was told that single digit weather temperature s would effect the refrigerators operation, somewhat confused, as there are a number of full timers in my area. Comments would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum!

This is a great place to learn and share.

Prolonged cold weather can reduce the efficiency of RV fridges. If it starts to get too warm you can always use the blue ice blocks that you let freeze overnight out side cool down your reefer.

We have found when outside temps are in the high 80s or 90s, frig runs 39-41 degrees when the outside temp is cooler, ie high 60s or 70s, frig runs 34-37. Temp here in Florida today is 73, frig is running at 34. We have five temp settings on ours, set at 3 or 4 in cooler weather, bump it up to the highest setting 5, when it gets hot. RV frigs have to dump heat, high temps outside make it tougher to do that.
