Any experience with goose neck to 5th wh. adaptors?

I just bought a truck that has a Curt GN hitch, & was wonder if there's problems with the adapters.
They just don't look solid but they must OK.
What's the difference between the 2?

They put an additional stress on your already barely strong enough trailer frame. There have been several broken frame threads on this forum from people who didn’t use a goose neck adapter.

I don't have any experience with it but it looks like the same system as the B&W companion.
If you don't already have a fifth wheel hitch I'd just get the B&W. If you do have a fifth wheel hitch that mounts to the standard rails on the unit you mention I'd get the curt x5 adapter I guess.

The only difference I see is that the 16210 (copied from etrailer website) Works with Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitches

The 16220 (again copied) Fits Curt EZr Double-Lock gooseneck hitches.

The truck I bought has a Curt goose neck hitch, & I have the 5th wheel from my old truck.
