3790 awning question

The awning stops just to the left of the door. It looks like that would be an issue of keeping dry while entering the rv.

Has anyone put a longer awning on, or had positive or negative experience with this set up?

Thanks for input.

This has been a criticism since at least 2006. The problem is if you move the awning arm left it interferes with the slide. Some use an umbrella to cover the gap. Here is just a part of the previous discussions about this.

Thanks for the input

At least we are not the only people that see this as a problem or inconvenience. The model we are looking at would seem to handle a longer awning and go just past the slide out.

we saw this on another brand of camper at the dealership.

Thanks

We have a 3791RD and have the same issue as you mentioned with rain at the doorway. The other problem with extending the awning left to cover the door better is that our slide for the dining room. It's not only the placement of the left side, but the height that is the issue. Not enough room above the slide for the awning in our model. We also have the slide covers.
